Golden Milk Latte

Happy Saturday! I am so happy to be getting back into a routine after our trip to Italy. For those of you that don't know, Rob and I got engaged in Florence! It was the most magical day, and the most unforgettable trip. I cannot wait to share more details with you all -- stay tuned!

We got back from our trip the Sunday after Thanksgiving and I was jet-lagged all week. I tried so hard to stay up past 8:30pm, but ended up falling asleep anyway and woke up at 4am at least 3 days in a row. I was doing morning workouts which helped a lot, and trying to get back into a routine, but the number one thing that helped me fight jet-lag and not get sick was drinking these Golden Milk Lattes.

Right before I left for Italy, I got the most amazing package from my friend Minna, who just started an awesome company called Live24k. Their Golden Fuel is a turmeric-collagen powder blend and it is perfect for making golden milk lattes, turmeric overnight oats and more!

This golden milk latte was a game changer in getting me back on track. The turmeric helps with inflammation and the collagen helps restore our muscles and joints. After 9 days of travel this is exactly what my body needed!

The best part about these golden milk lattes is that they are caffeine free and you can enjoy them anytime of the day!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Servings: 1 latte

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 tsp turmeric blend (I use Live24K Turmeric-Collagen Blend)
  • 1/4 cup of hot water
  • 3/4 cup of warm nut milk of your choice (I use almond milk)*
  • a dash of cinnamon

*For a creamier latte, use 1 cup of warm nut milk and a splash of hot water

Steps:

  1. Bring water to a boil.
  2. In a mug, add turmeric blend, hot water and whisk together.
  3. Add in the nut milk of your choice.
  4. Top it off with a dash of cinnamon.
  5. Stir & enjoy!
